Our major show

well on the 6th of may was our major gig that we organised,we had put
out posters everywhere and told many people so we where hoping to get
100 or more. well on the friday which was the 5th we went and brought
well i spent all the money and brought things we needed and by the end
of the day i was broke.and we still never had 1 thing and that was the fog
machine so i borrowed the money and brought one. i stayed at nicks house
and got dad to pick us up the next day to go up new norfolk and get
damiens drum kit. we got back to dads about 10 and we had to wait there
for Adam who had all of tafe's gear we were stressing about him cos he
was late nick went home to pack up stuff and shortly after Adam came
we headed up to nicks and then headed for the hall.
we got there i dropped into a chemist to get something for my throat
because it was killing me we got to the hall and started seting everything up.
nick (promoter) came with our stage(that was made out of thick plywood and
chemical drums) he set it up and we got everything setup caleb hadnt arrived
yet so i rang him he said he was coming it was about 3 o'clock i kept ringing
him afterwards he woudnt answer i was getting really angry well everything
was setup we are just waiting for caleb but no sign of him whilst i was stressing
about caleb Adam was having troubles with monitors....everytime he tried to
get a bit of volume out of them they would feed back this was happening
for a long time till i discovered that the monitor was sitting right on top of
the drum and was feeding back from the vibrations in the speaker and was
making it feed back because of the hollow drum so i said stick it on the side
and it worked! well our concert started at 6 30.....no sign of caleb i was going
off by this time we had curtis as our bouncer, we had to use olly(nicks little bro)
i ran threw the first song quickly with olly and then ran outside 1 more time to
see if caleb was there....then i seen him on his motobike i ran for him and
yelled "get off your bike and get inside now it has started!!" as much as i
wanted to beat him up i couldnt i had to keep calm to have the energy for
the gig we got inside and everything didnt go as i planned, i planned on
being backstage till people came out then we would come on stage when
nobody would see us and start playing in the dark, then when the drums
and bass came in thats when the lights kick in but no....... we where seen
the whole time and it didnt start off how i wanted because of caleb. we
started playing by the first song my throat was hurting and i asked the
crowd for a drink i really needed some water the guy who ran the lights threw
me some water and i was just barely hanging on with the water. By the
third song i went on drums and i went off, i love drums and always will
so we had a break after the 10th song and went bak on in about 10 minutes
and kicked ass again the very last song was night train as nick jumped back
on drums i said no im not playing that he said "just fucking play it!" so i did
and it was the best.

That was a quick story on it but it was a long night,
when it finished we started packing up everything nick left straight
away and went to girls houses, curtis came to me and said what do you
want me to do with this (money) i said follow me we went and did finances
and corrected everyone. i stayed there for a few hours packing everything up caleb came
to me and tried to talk to me, i didnt want to talk to him i had no time for him.
